[Update] Training subsidies extended to year-end for residents of ASEAN member countries

--

SINGAPORE, 30 September 2021 — The ASEAN subsidy at Quantico Centre for Communication and Information Literacy (Quantico CCIL) has been extended until 31 December 2021. This offers a reduced fee for Quantico CCIL courses for participants who are resident of ASEAN member countries.

Eligible participants

Participants are eligible for ASEAN subsidy if they are legally resident in any of these 10 ASEAN member countries — Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam — and they are enrolling within the ASEAN subsidy period between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2021, regardless of actual course dates. This means that even if they are attending a course on 4 February 2022, the subsidy will still apply so long as an application for enrolment is made for that course between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2021.

Offsetting course fees

The ASEAN subsidy will offset 39.9% of the total course fee. The fee for a 2-day course, which is typically S$980.00, will be S$588.30 after subsidy. The fee for a 1-day course, which is typically S$550.00, will be S$330.17 after subsidy.

Background of the subsidy

The ASEAN subsidy was made available to help participants affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The ASEAN subsidy applies to citizens and long-term residents of any of the 10 ASEAN member states and who are enrolling within the subsidy period between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2021. The ASEAN subsidy can also be used together with other subsidies and grants to further offset total course fees. See below for combining multiple subsidies and grants.

Supporting the ASEAN learning community

“None of us are strangers to the singular impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on digital content and communication,” says Deepa Vijayan, Director at Quantico CCIL. “Pre-Covid, we used to welcome regional participants on a regular basis to our workshops in Singapore, and we would like to continue supporting our ASEAN learning community for as long as possible with the reduced course fees.”

Additional financial support

In addition to reduced fees for ASEAN residents, Quantico CCIL offers additional financial support for senior citizens and individuals or organisations facing financial constraints due to the pandemic.

More information about all subsidies offered at Quantico CCIL is available on the Subsidies Page of the website.
